Drew Fawcett is a graduate of the University of Newcastle upon
Tyne. He currently works as part of the Structures team in the
Newcastle office. Inspirational projects such as the Sage Gateshead
led Drew to join Mott MacDonald.
"I obtained my degree in Civil and Structural
Engineering and graduated in 2005. Finding a company that offered a
range of interesting work in the buildings sector was a prime
concern and Mott MacDonald fitted the bill.
Mott MacDonald's training scheme and the network of support
available to a young graduate is excellent helping provide the
skills and continuing education required for the modern day
engineer. The wide variety of work requires continued development
and combined, these factors lead to an interesting career on a
day-to-day basis. In the long-term Mott MacDonald will give me the
chance to gain world-wide experience through its offices around the
world, with opportunities wherever my career may take me.
For me at the moment there's also the benefit of living and working
in Newcastle, one of the most diverse cities in the North, where
there's always something to do plus you're never too far away from
a watering hole!"
