Ashley Stone is a graduate of Brunel University based in our
London office. A mechanical engineer, he is currently working
within our building services team.
"Joining a company with a structured training
programme has really helped me to find my way in the engineering
profession. I graduated in mechan-ical engineering but now find
myself working in building services designing efficient and
sustainable HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning)
systems for a wide variety of interesting projects.
Because Mott MacDonald provides you with the skills you need to
become a competent engineer I’ve been able to apply the
fundamentals of thermo and fluid-dynamics covered at university to
understand the principles of HVAC design.
I’ve also worked in Mott MacDonald’s Dubai office. I found living
and working there with engineers, clients and suppliers from many
different countries was both interesting and eye-opening. The
projects I worked on were unlike anything I had encountered before
and I enjoyed the challenge of designing systems for the extreme
climate of the Middle East."
